Volume 4 Summary/Outline

Prologue:

The Three Supreme Leaders wait for a call from Six. They’re all a little nervous and clearly want to be chosen.

Chapter 1:

Frustrated at the recent destruction of their completed hideout, Six plans a bit of revenge on Lilith by calling her over, then only revealing that the base was destroyed after she arrives (and is stuck on the planet.) He notes that TECHNICALLY he and Alice aren’t lying because the base was completed once, it just happened to get blown up. Lilith gloats over Belial and Astaroth at being chosen and teleports over….where Six promptly reveals he was lying and they’re camping out at the park. Lilith then runs into Russell, dressed still as a maid. Lilith confuses him for the chimaera from the reports (Rose), and is shocked to find she’s a he. (Some more hilarity where Lilith becomes convinced chimaeras are hermaphrodites) Six and Alice tell Lilith that if she wants to go home, she’ll have to earn it by helping them rebuild the base. So they go off to the woods and the construction site, where they get attacked by the various inhabitants, but with Lilith beating the crap out of all of them, except for one final thing that blows up her temporary base foundation. It’s also revealed Lilith uses Doc Oc tentacles with weapons inside them for her fighting. After some notable failures, Lilith then discovers what’s been destroying the base – a giant lizard in the middle of the woods. After tracking it down, Lilith attacks it with a hypersonic depth charge then kills it with a tentacle ray. Turns out the thing was guarding some sort of ruins, but they decide not to bother with it for now.

Chapter 2:

Lilith returns to town, throwing a fit because it turns out she can’t use her tentacle weapons without spending tons of evil points on her ammo and powerpacks. She then decides she’s going to use her “cheats” ala her knowledge of modern tech to get praise and win influence. She goes to Tillis to try to intimidate her about Kisaragi’s superiority, only to have Tillis dress her down for Six and Ten’s antics from Vol3. Afterwards she begins trying to improve things around town, while Snow shows them around. First, they try to dig a new well, only to dig up a giant slime. Next, they want to make new food sources, but find the Grace Kingdom uses slave orc labor inside indoor farms. The orcs farm grow veggies, then once they die of old age the Gracians eat them. They’re horrified to learn that Snow and other Gracians see nothing wrong with this. They then find that the reason farming is done indoors is because there’s flying monsters that destroy farms. So they try to figure out how to fix that. Eventually they decide to go get some poop from a critter called the Sky King to scare off the other flying monsters. Snow, Lilith, and Six head to the Sky King’s territory, where it’s revealed the Sky King is a giant sparrow that collects shiny objects. It kidnaps Six when he takes out the replacement necklace he was going to give Grimm. After some struggling, Six manages to fetch some poop and gold coins from the Sky King while Snow and Lilith greedily try to steal more treasure and act as a decoy. Six and Lilith return to the camp, where Alice reveals that the gems Lilith stole are just useless glass, and then basically calls Lilith a useless idiot. Snow, meanwhile, is stuck in the Sky King lair because she won’t give up on the treasure.

Chapter 3:

Back at the camp, Grimm comes in a panic, saying that someone has released the “Mud King” on the kingdom. Turns out there’s a giant slime sealed under the kingdom, and it’s kept a secret from people who might not be trusted with the info. (Snow didn’t know about it because they figured she’d just sell the info to enemies) Six and Lilith get tons of evil points for inadvertently letting it out but eventually seal it back into the ground. Lilith starts poking at Grimm’s religion, prompting Grimm to try to demonstrate her “job” of ghostbusting – only to have it revealed that the “haunted houses” are just Alice going around spreading rumors so she can buy the houses for cheap, “exorcise” the spirits from them, then flip them. Grimm, upset at this decides to summon something – bringing an angel of mercy and love to appear. Lilith and Six instinctively know this is bad news (and they’re bound for hell), but Alice doesn’t, and starts groping the angel. Unfortunately the angel is angry and dooms Grimm to never meeting any decent men ever again.

Chapter 4:

Alice meanwhile thinks Lilith was afraid of someone cosplaying as an angel and starts treating her like trash. Lilith shuts herself into her tent for a few days as a result, but eventually emerges once the hideout is completed. Six learns that Lilith is actually here to drag him back to Earth, and that he’s the last one to learn this. After this, Alice tells Six good luck, and that his presence or absence matters little, she’ll still beat the demon lord army within 3 years. Alice then sends the useless Lilith and Six off to investigate the ruins they found earlier. Six has Rose (who has been living as Patrasche since the events in Vol3) to the ruins – where they find out that the ruins are where Rose had been born and raised, and she starts remembering details from her past life. Eventually they figure out that the Demon Lord is using one of the facilities Rose grew up in as their castle – and Lilith asks Rose, who she’s taken a liking to, what Rose wants as a member of Kisaragi. Rose wants to know who she is and what the Demon Lord knows. Lilith vows to help her.

Final Chapter:

Kisaragi attacks the Demon Lord kingdom, with Tiger Man and co. acting as decoys while Lilith, Six, Alice, and Rose parachute into enemy territory. Sand King disrupts Tiger Man’s raid, and so Lilith and co. end up facing off against Heine and basically the entire Demon Lord Army. Lilith tries to bluff her way out and try to find a peaceful solution, but Alice and Six so thoroughly taunt the demons that a fight breaks out and LIlith is forced to respond by killing tons of demon army troops, then dropping bombs near them to show she can just wipe them out. Eventually they discover the info they need to head to the demon castle, where it’s revealed they have to destroy guard towers, but Lilith does this simply by using a satellite to figure out where the towers are then blowing them up. Lilith admits she can’t take Six away from Alice and Rose, so leaves him behind, after getting Heine to commit to giving Rose an audience with the Demon Lord and a tour of the facilities in exchange for Lilith just not completely genociding the demons. Lilith then leaves, assigning Six and Alice to build a city around the hideout for humans from Earth to settle in.

Epilogue:

Lilith returns to Earth, where Astaroth and Belial are waiting for her. The two of them are extremely angry and eventually corner Lilith. The end.
